Twelve armed robbers dressed in Military uniforms attacked First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Lekki phase 1, this afternoon.
The armed robbers came in a boat via the Ikoyi-lekki toll bridge and shot sporadically. According to eyewitnesses, the armed robbers came prepared.
Three policemen were shot dead, three civilians were also killed in the attack, the gun men also shot a fish seller. Five other people were hit by stray bullets and were rushed to the hospital with the fish seller.
After the robbers ended their operation, they escaped in speedboats.
