How much more will they recover from the Abachas? How greedy can a human being be? The man just kept stealing, looting and stashing.
Some years ago, when Nigeria recovered some money from the Abachas, the wife of the late Head of State, Maryam Abacha said that no matter how much they recover from them, they can never be as poor as Dangote. Such sarcasm?
However, the statement was ignored as many felt she was trying to be sarcastic because she was pained. How wrong?
In June 2014, $227 million was returned to Nigeria from Liechtenstein and just two says ago, the Swiss government concluded plans to return $380 million to Nigeria which is part of the money stashed in Swiss bank by the former dictator. Switzerland has previously returned $700 million that Abacha stashed in Swiss accounts. If the Swiss government makes this new cash return, It would bring the total amount of Abacha's loot returned from Switzerland to $1.080 billion.
Imagine what 1.080 billion dollars would have done to Nigeria's economy. Such great greed!
That is to show u how selfish our past leaders were. Greed to the highest order. Pls Buhari what exactly did you forget that makes you want to go back so badly?
