Mercy Johnson is one Nollywood actress who shot into limelight very suddenly and is presently one of the highest earning actress in Nigeria.
What most people are unaware of is that the gorgeous, sexy queen of the screen had to work as a housemaid in other to feed herself and support her family.
In an interview she granted some years ago, Mercy Johnson narrated how acting for her was a coincidence. She had resorted to auditioning after she failed he JAMB exams and was lucky to make it very quickly.
When asked about her life before she became a movie star; she revealed that while growing up she found life very hard and tough that she had to work as a house maid to survive.
Mercy who once lived in an uncompleted building with her family, didn't allow life to limit her. In her words 'I normally cry easily in movies because of the hardship and suffering I had gone through'. She said when ever she has to cry in a movie, she just remembers her experiences and the tears flow freely.
The actress withered the storm and became a household name. She officially got married to the man of her dreams in an elaborate ceremony in 2011. The actress has continue to rise in her craft and career and is blessed with two lovely children.
