Pope Francis made a surprise visit to a shantytown on Rome's outskirt on Sunday. The pope was on his way to visit a Parish in the working class Tiburtina area when he asked aides to make a detour stop at the shanty town.
The pope spent some time with the people of the shantytown and promise to offer scholarships to all the children. Continue to see more photos.................
