Nigerian Military Sentence 54 Soldiers to Death for Mutiny



 A military court in Nigeria has sentenced 54 soldiers to death for mutiny after trial. The soldiers were convicted tonight in Abuja on a two-count charge of conspiracy to commit mutiny. While 54 were found guilty of mutiny, four soldiers were acquitted.

The trial began October 15th and the allegations were disobedience of higher authorities on order to join operations against the Boko Haram sect.
The convicted soldiers were mostly officers from the northern region. they are to die o stakes, by
firing squads.
