Paralympian Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to 5 years in prison  by Judge Thorkozile Masipa for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's day in 2013.

The judge sentenced the athlete  to 5 years imprisonment for Culpable Homicide and 3 years in prison for the tasha shooting which he was found guilty of. However, the two sentences will run concurrently.
Oscar will serve a minimum of 10 months in jail, after which he will be send home to serve the remaining sentence under strict supervision control.
The short sentence of 5 years has been fiercely criticized as there has been an outrage on social media.
