Abusive Relationships; Why is it so Difficult to Walk away

I always wondered why it is difficult for the victims of abusive relationship to take a walk for their peace and sanity sake. I know love is complex and its all encompassing and its meaning is diverse and a bit flexible but then again, Love isn’t wicked, selfish nor arrogant. 

Too many deformed for life, some injured and an unfortunate few dead but on a daily basis we keep recording cases of abuse.
