Nollywood star actress, Uche Jombo has expressed her dissatisfaction over an alleged statement made by with of Gen. Buhari, Aisha where she stated that Edo women are women of easy virtues.
Whilst campaigning in Benin City, Mrs Aisha Buhari said that if her husband is elected President, he would stop prostitution by Edo women abroad. Mrs Buhari said that they would make the country comfortable for Edo women and mould them so that they wouldn't have to leave the country to prostitute elsewhere.
The General's wife came under fire when she allegedly made that statement. Some opines that most Edo women that involve in prostitution are adult and make such choices themselves, they however pleaded that she should help stop 'Child Bride' in the North.
Also reacting to the statement made by Mrs Buhari was Uche Jombo. The actress who is a supporter of advocacy for women said it is wrong for Mrs Aisha to make such insensitive statement and expressed how disappointing it was.
Some APC members clapped back at her and opined she was supporting PDP, she however said she has not sold her allegiance to any party not collected a dime from any, that she spoke as an advocate for women and the girl child.
