M-Net to Shut Down Channel O Africa On March 31st, 2015

The channel that started TV music revolution in Africa, Channel O closes in less that two weeks.
M-net Africa yesterday, announced that Channel O Africa is moving house on 31st march and thus the Channel will stop airing in DSTV channel 320 and GoTV channel 70. Channel O is handing over the baton to Africa Magic, who will take over as the new home of local music in Africa.

According to M-Net, as it continue to evolves, the decision was taken to refocus its strategy to achieve a more efficient and streamlined approach that will enhance subscribers' television experience by providing them with regionalised music content.


We all know that the main reason they are closing Channel O is because the channel is not bringing in enough funds. No need for plenty grammar :) Thank God for MTV and others.
