The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio reportedly collapsed at a function in the state, yesterday March 22nd and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the United Kingdom.
The incident occurred following the defection of the former governor of the state, Victor Obong Attah from the ruling People's Democratic Party to the opposition party, All Progressive Congress.
Since the incident occurred, the governor's aides, his family and the Peoples Democratic Party have been keeping the news from the media, but a source close to the Governor confided in reporters yesterday that the Governor did collapse and had since been rushed to a UK hospital.
