Take a break from Goodluck and Buhari's drama, let me introduce you to an interesting personality. Professor Oluremi Sonaiya is the only female presidential candidate contesting in the 2015 general elections and she is running on the KOWA Party platform.
Ms Sonaiya has expressed her wish to change the face of Nigerian politics without help from any godfather and without spending millions on campaigns.
The professor believes she has a stake in Nigerian and also stated that she avoided joining the two major political parties because she did not agree with their ideologies, internal lack of democracy, and godfatherism.
Sonaiya, who holds a doctorate in linguistics, decried the culture of spending millions of Naira on campaigns, stating that such funds could be channeled into developmental projects for nation building.
We do hope she is given a chance.
