It is a known fact that the Akinwunmi Ambode is the gubernatorial candidate for Lagos State under the All Progressive Congress (APC) platform.
However what a lot of Nigerians are not aware of, is the fact that Ambode was chosen by Asiwaju Tinubu in 2012 to take over from Babatunde Fashola.
Ambode who hails from Epe Lagos is also a key minister in Pastor Adeboye's led Redeemed Christain Church of God.
Mr Ambode was the Accountant General/Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance Lagos state, until his voluntary retirement in 2012. The impression was that APC Chieftain Bola Ahmed Tinubu asked him to resign because he was preparing him to be the next Governor of Lagos state.
When he left the Ministry of Finance, he went to Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Boston, USA to study about politics and governance in preparation for his political responsibility in 2015.
Luckily for him, while studying abroad, his wife of 18 years gave birth to a set of twins, a boy and a girl for the first time in their marriage.
