The Fear of Buhari! Missing $20 Billion NNPC Fund Miraculously Found

Over two years ago, Emir Sanusi who was then Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) wrote a letter to President Goodluck Jonathan which was later leaked online, claiming that the sum of $20 billion was missing from NNPC treasury.

Sanusi came under fire from diverse parties and ended up losing his position as the governor of the CBN. In Febraury 2015, a forensic audit on NNPC reported that no money was missing.

President Goodluck Jonathan defended the Petroleum minister on national television on several occasion while the minister refused to appear before the Senate committee; the issue was gently swept under the carpet.

Well, barely two weeks after the general elections that saw Gen. Muhammadu elected as the President of Nigeria, it seems the money that was declared 'not missing' by forensic auditors has been miraculously found.

Ex Governor of Kwara and Senator, Bukola Sakari representing Kwara Central, took to his social media page to congratulate Nigerian for winning the fight against corruption by voting Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. He alleges that some of the missing $20 billion NNPC funds seems to have been found this week. His tweet below;
"Nigerians are already winning by electing @ThisisBuhari on March 28th. Some of the missing NNPC funds seems to have been found this week."
Since Gen. Buhari was elected President in the March 28th election, Petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke has been on fire. First, she was sneaked into Abdulsalam's home in full Almajiri's outfit pleading and begging for Buhari's mercy. Days later, $700 million was reportedly found in her apartment which prompted her decision to go into exile. The minister has since left the country to an undisclosed country.
